FOR OUR ELDERS
Available to view on-demand throughout July 2023
In this 30 minute webinar, Evolve's Co-Directors, Aunty Munya and Carla, and our newest team member, Indigenous Lead Facilitatior Matika, will teach you about the special role of Elders in Aboriginal communities, celebrate their contribution and pay respect to those we have lost and those who continue the fight for Reconciliation today.
Aunty Munya Andrews is an Aboriginal Elder originally from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. She is an accomplished author, educator, and sought-after speaker whose life's purpose is to share her cultural knowledge.
Carla Rogers is a Churchill Fellow, award-winning program designer, facilitator, and community engagement specialist. Although non-Indigenous, she has dedicated her career to working alongside and supporting First Nations people and communities.
Matika Little is a proud Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi woman, who is passionate about community empowerment, education and Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ representation.

"To celebrate NAIDOC Week, Intermain worked with Aboriginal organisation Evolve Communities to learn about the theme; Heal Country. A key takeaway was cultural protocols around Country; Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country. We encourage you to research and perform an Acknowledgment of Country, not only for where you live but also Country you travel through and visit."

“Aunty Munya is very engaging and easy to listen to. The key take-away for me was to keep a check on my unconscious bias and to listen and reflect with an open mind.”
